Damn that old & cantankorous Vonnegut - he just won't quit. I certainly hope at his age I'm still able to write long winding passages & still make sense. Oh fuck, considering the mortality rate in my family I'll just be able to be 80 & with enough Viagra still have a hard on.
Fucking funny, Vonnegut. Random thing I underscored in Sirens:
"A bald man made an attempt on Constant's life with a hot dog, stabbed at the window glass with it, splayed the bun, broke the frankfurter--left a sticky sunburst of mustard and relish."--K.V.
though i've enjoyed a couple of his stories, i've never been a huge fan of kv. but i always thought he is brilliant and has a great sense of humor. anyway... loved the article. thanks for the link - jib

Kurt rocks. I've read nearly everything he's written. Favorites:
Bluebeard
Hocus Pocus
Cat's Cradle
Slaughterhouse-Five
also these:
Breakfast of Champions
Mother Night
& just about anything Kilgore Trout has written ;)
Kilgore!
Love this little thing from The Sirens of Titan:
Rented a tent, a tent, a tent;
Rented a tent, a tent, a tent.
Rented a tent!
Rented a tent!
Rented a, rented a tent.
